Back to the beginning
It's always hard to miss the first Early Bird, so cruised down there for it. Got a flat and had to hammer most of the way down there to get regged in time for the start. Was a very small group and started as a pace line exercise but then I rolled off the front with Billy Innes and they never caught us surprisingly. I couldn't out fox Innes and he took me for the win.

behind you it shredded apart into a broken line for a bit, then formed into three groups
if it had been one group, there may have been a catch, but it was you two, then a group of 4 (3?) then a group of 5, then a group of two
you guys were motoring along though with no games, and it was the games that shattered the rest of the pack and made for an ineffective chase. So I'd say 3rd on down got what they deserved ;-)
